At the cutting-edge of new medicine

Fundación Beckley Med

Fundación Beckley Med is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the development of innovative mental health research and treatments, the study of consciousness and the training of specialists in psychedelic-assisted therapy. Its unique four-armed model was created by Amanda Feilding, founder and executive director of the Beckley Foundation. Her aim was to create a flagship clinic for psychedelic-assisted therapy, mission-aligned with The Beckley Foundation, and based on her over five decades of work in psychedelic research and global drug policy. In collaboration with the Beckley Foundation, Oxford, Fundación Beckley Med is the product of years of work alongside experts in psychedelic-assisted therapy, training, and research, and with a local team of coordinators.

In addition to pioneering research into psychedelic plants and substances, and their beneficial health-related, and consciousness enhancing effects, Fundación Beckley Med also offers an International Training Programmes in Psychedelic Therapies, experimental clinical treatments, community programmes, events and publications.

About Beckley Foundation (Oxford)

The Beckley Foundation is a UK-based charitable organization set up by Amanda Feilding in 1998 to initiate and carry out pioneering scientific research into the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and their underlying mechanisms of action, and to create a scientific basis for global drug policy reform. The Scientific Programme, led by Amanda Feilding, has undertaken many of the key breakthrough studies that have led to the Psychedelic Renaissance, such as the first study to use psilocybin in the treatment of treatment-resistant depression, as part of the Beckley / Imperial Psychedelic Research Programme, set up by Amanda in 2007.

The aim of the Beckley Foundation is to harness the power of science in order to integrate psychoactive substances into society as safe and effective tools to treat a broad range of health conditions, and enhance wellbeing.

Amanda Feilding, through  the Beckley Foundation, has been a leader in the medical and scientific resurgence of psychedelics. The partnership between the Beckley Foundation (Oxford) and Fundación Beckley Med (Barcelona) is ideally suited to play a leading role on both fronts: advancing scientific research and providing safe and equitable access to psychedelic-assisted therapy for those in need.
