Towards a psychedelic clinic

Psychedelic Medicine
Beckley Med’s treatment programmes are designed based on scientific research and wisdom passed down through generations of traditional psychedelic practice. Each treatment programme combines the use of psychedelic medicine with therapeutic processing and integration.

A new paradigm

Treatment for depression
The treatment aims to create an integrative ketamine intervention model that emphasises relapse prevention rather than ketamine as a solution in itself, in order to minimise the risks of developing ketamine dependence or recurrent use and by providing tools for the patient’s own use.

How does it work?

The Beckley Med clinical area has created a protocol based on the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Consensus Statement on the use of Ketamine and the clinical studies that provide the highest level of scientific evidence to date.

The proposed intervention combines pharmacological treatment with elements of 3 therapeutic modalities that have shown promising empirical results in people diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression.

Is it safe?

When used in a supervised setting at low doses, ketamine therapy is quite safe. You will have fully trained healthcare professionals by your side throughout your treatment. As with any treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. Before you begin your Beckley Med treatment, you’ll meet with our medical team to make sure it’s a good option for you.

Is it for me?

Ketamine treatment has been shown to be effective in people diagnosed with major depression and therefore antidepressant resistance. Unlike antidepressants, ketamine has no side effects. Another big difference is the speed of action: half of the patients substantially improve their symptoms in just two days, a key factor in diluting suicidal thoughts.
